So while still being a young chef and trying to multi-task at home cooking, plus cleaning, running loads of laundry, monitoring two wild dogs, and watching bad tv doesn't work out for me as I hoped. I get on the cooking crazes where I think I want to be chef and can just whip out an amazing dinner for my husband. So yes I've done all the horrible first year mistakes or marriage and cooking. Key note it that when your married your not just cooking a meal you have to be able to cook a meal plus multi-task all those things above plus if you have a baby just shoot yourself now. So I basically burned a lot of things like garlic bread which my husband things is hilarious, overcook chicken and pork, you name it, and my chopping as was sloppy and I would forget ingredients. There's just a lot going on and it just takes time to figure out how to juggle all these things and come out with am amazing meal.
Well I'm still learning even 4 years late. My husband wanted me to make some sea scallops. FYI scallops are very hard to cook, you have to have great timing, which I lack. So I look up online some recipes that don't look too crazy and found one for breaded sea scallops. I ran it by the hubby and he asked for some white sauce. This is when it starts to go wrong now I had to search for something else and my mind wanders. I ended up finding a whole new recipe for scallops with white sauce which was a wine based sauce but no breading. I of course thought since my hubby was watching his weight he would like this recipe better. Since I wasn't so sure I would like the dish since (I am not a scallops girl) I decided to fry up some shrimp and have a Poor Boy sandwich.
So now I am making two meals plus trying to do it over two days since my time was limited and my husband had to work. So I cooked the fish the night before in the sauce then put it in Tupperware to put it back on the skillet the next night. Bad idea. Not only did the Scallop and White sauce taste horrible ( don't reheat fish) my husband was sad because he wanted the breaded scallops, he said what I made him was Scampi- not what he had in mind. I thought thank god I have the back up dinner, the fried shrimp sandwich. Well when I was peeling the shrimp I had both the wild dogs right by my side so needless to say I wasn't paying full attention and left some of the skins on. This gave them some extra horrible crunch once they were fried. Needless to say I didn't try to cook again for two weeks.
If anyone knows of a good cooking class and medication for my lack of concentration please send asap!

Drinks All Around!
So the hubby and I took a summer weekend trip to our favorite summer get away Las Vegas baby! We decided to spend our day at the Flamingo Adult pool. It was a small oasis with flamingo fountains and white geek columns lining the oval pool with super cute waitreses, dj, and full bar. We were already sold on the place becuase it only cost $20 for my husband and ladies were free plus we made it past security with our water bottles filled with Caribian Rum. We were loving it listening to music, making our mixed drinks, and taking in the scene that was starting to pump up and heat up. There was a mixutre of all kinds of people, young couples, single girls and guys, and some older couples. There was even a family with two twin girls wtih Down Syndrom that were dressed alike in red swimsuites and bows in their hair. They had to be 18 to get into the pool but I thought it was awesome that they were getting to experiecne all of the vegas experience. The Stoley girls showed up and the crowed was getting tipsy. Hubby and I had purchased a few drinks so we could add our own mixed pleasure into the purchased cups so we looked lagit. As the stoley girls came around with free jello shots I gulped a few down and noticed the Twins got into them as well. I thought well good for them they should get to enjoy themselves as well. I was thinking what happened to their parents but thought they must be enjoing some time relaxing as well. The sun was hot and the Stoley girls weregoing around pouring shots into everyones mouths. It was getting crazy! All os a sudden as I was perched on the lounge chair talking to my hubby as he was at the edge of the pool I notice one of the twins had taken his drink and took a big all swig! That so didn't just happen. I yelled to my husband and he quickly got it from the girl. You could tell as she had a huge smile was bobing around in the pool this girl was hammered. I looked at my husband and we both busted out laughing! We coulnd' believe what just happened. Seriously! We were glad the girl was having a fun time but we couldnt get over the fact thay my husbands drink was swiped by an underage girl with Downs. As we were conncered for the well being of the young girl I noticed her mom finally appeared and seemed to take in that her daughter was drunk. What a pool party! Next time we know to watch our drinks!

My tampons friend
Yes, we all loath the day our period breaks out and it always seems to happen when you need to squeeze into a bikini, attend an all white party, or have a sexcapade with your partner. But like many woman I have those light drizzle beginnings that turn into the monstrous hurricane Katrina ready to take out New Orleans. With those bad days I might as well be wearing a diaper sunk in bed with a hot tottie and ginger snaps (Yes my snacks are those of an alcoholic 80 years old women but that's another story).Well it just so happened on one if those tidal wave days I was expected to be at a friends house party and while I squeezed into my ting blue jeans i also made sure to be packed with my tampon and extra linings. I made it through the party, eating, drinking, and gabbing and safely made it back home with my hubby. While getting ready for bed and reading to change my tampon I pulled one out and noticed something else. Another freaking tampon! What the heck! I screamed over to my husband laughing my ass off. Who does this? Well apparently after talking to some friends this apparently has happened to most women. Go ahead and google two tampons at once. Best of luck to you, remember your tampon doesn't need a friend and if it does I am sorry you must have had octoplets.
